Philadelphia born beatsmith Damon “Husky” Hayes, began his career in music in a more improvisational fashion; using the family table as a drum much to the “surprise “of his grandmother. Sensing the youngster’s innate gifts, she, along with an older cousin bought him his first drum machine. Under the tutelage of his cousin Damon became a master at the craft of beat making. Soon his grandmother’s basement was shaking constantly. His tracks soon became sought after commodities on the streets. When a friend suggested that Damon showcase his tracks at the Hideaway, a local studio, word soon got around that Damon had beats that were hitting larger than life, gaining him the title Dame Husky!
