William Carter
William Carter – Managing Partner
Musician turned attorney, Managing Partner William Carter began his affinity for music at a young age. He received training as a pianist, saxophonist, and violinist but at some point reluctantly decided not to pursue a career as a musician. However his love for music never wavered and he was constantly enchanted by the radio tunes of his youth. While in law school William honed his business and legal skills interning in the legal department of Island Def Jam Records, as well as the A&R and legal departments of Jive Records. Upon graduating, William co-managed the entertainment and sports division of a Philadelphia based law boutique. He later established Matrax, with fellow partners Dame Hayes and Scott Carter.
